In Cabrils, on a plot of more than 1,300 m² with a slope of 7.5 meters to the south, is this two-storey house with a pitched roof that adapts to the topography. The original building, built in the seventies, maintains its volume, although the renovation has rearranged its spaces to offer better functionality and a more fluid connection with the outside.
On the ground floor we find the day area, where the open kitchen-dining room is fluidly linked to the living room and the garden, taking advantage of the large openings facing south to capture natural light and maximize the relationship between interior and exterior. In addition, the kitchen has a hood built into the ceiling with a motor located in the chimney on the roof, which is easily controlled with a remote control that lowers it. Cooking is done with an invisible induction in the island, thus achieving a clean and minimalist aesthetic.
On the upper floor, the bedrooms and bathrooms are redefined with better ventilation, which enhances comfort and rational use of space.
The house has two independent entrances: one main on the ground floor and another service on the first floor, facilitating the connection with the different levels of the land and creating a double relationship with the outside. The occasional modifications to the facade respect the original appearance, expanding or opening windows according to the new interior needs.
The complex, with its retaining walls and garden areas that articulate the unevenness of the land, offers a renewed living experience, more open and adapted to a contemporary lifestyle, while maintaining its identity and connection with the environment.
