In the old town of Vilassar de Mar, on a plot between party walls with a southeast-facing façade on Sant Ramon Street, this traditional home has been renovated in a way that respects its original essence while adapting it to today’s needs for comfort and functionality.

The house retains its original volume, with a ground floor, first and second floors, and an attic floor with access to the rooftop terrace, all while preserving its characteristic structure and the interior staircase with a metal railing and ceramic steps, which has been restored along its entire length. Access is through the original entrance hall —a typical feature of the “casa de cos” style in Vilassar— which has been preserved as a distinctive element.

The living room, located at the front of the house, is connected to the dining and kitchen areas through a central corridor, maintaining the classic layout of the home. This daytime area opens fully onto the recently renovated rear patio, offering a spacious, quiet, and sunny space, perfect for enjoying the pleasant climate. At the back of the patio, the auxiliary building has been preserved and continues to function as a summer porch.

The interior has been updated with a complete renovation of the bathrooms and kitchen, as well as all systems —water, electricity, heating, and telecommunications— improving both efficiency and comfort. Thermal insulation has been reviewed and reinforced, and the original character of the house has been recovered through the restoration of the ceramic vaulted ceilings, interior woodwork, and the iconic hydraulic tile floors, which remain in various rooms.

The second and third floors contain the night-time living area, with two double bedrooms and a bathroom on each floor, preserving the spirit of a traditional house but with all contemporary comforts. From the attic floor, you can access the rooftop terrace, which offers open views and a new opportunity for outdoor use.

Finally, the main façade on Sant Ramon Street has been restored, maintaining its original composition and aesthetics in an intervention that enhances the value of the local architectural heritage while giving it new life and functionality.
