In a quiet residential area of the Maresme region, a specific interior renovation is being carried out on the ground floor of a detached single-family house located on Til·lers Street in Cabrils.

The intervention focuses on opening the kitchen to the living and dining area, creating a more spacious and integrated shared living space. The walls that previously separated the kitchen from the living room have already been removed, as well as the original kitchen, which was completely dismantled prior to the start of the renovation. Additionally, the entrance hall has been expanded by partially demolishing the under-stair area, providing greater openness and functionality to the access. A new wooden entrance door has also been installed, enhancing the warmth and material coherence of the interior finishes.

The project primarily involves the entrance and access areas, stairs, living–dining–kitchen space, guest bathroom, and laundry room. These areas have been slightly reorganized to improve their functional relationship and space efficiency, while maintaining the existing interior heights and general floor layout.

The house is adapted to the natural slope of the terrain, unfolding over three staggered levels. The renovation focuses exclusively on the ground floor, without affecting the building’s volume, built surface area, or any elements of the façade, and is carried out in strict compliance with current urban planning and technical regulations.

The interior finishes combine dark grey porcelain tile flooring, painted walls, and wood cladding in selected areas, contributing to a warm and high-quality atmosphere. The installations have been adjusted to the new layout, ensuring efficiency, comfort, and functionality.

The result is a more open, bright, and practical daytime living space that enhances the everyday use of the home and fosters a more pleasant and functional environment.
