On a plot in the Eixample district of Vilassar de Mar, facing the corner formed by Sant Ramon and Enric Granados streets, the construction of two semi-detached single-family homes has been designed following the subdivision of an established urban plot.

The project proposes two independent houses, each with direct access from the street and organized over a ground floor, first floor and attic space, making the most of the orientation, natural light and privacy.

With a clean aesthetic and simple volumes, both buildings are set back 3 metres from the street alignment in accordance with current urban planning regulations, creating front courtyards that act as a transitional space between the public and private realms. They are painted in different colours to create contrast and give each unit its own identity.

The main entrance leads to a hallway that opens onto a single open-plan space integrating the living room, dining area and kitchen, visually connected to the landscaped rear courtyard, where a green strip provides freshness and environmental quality. A bathroom can also be accessed from this area.

On the first floor, the homes are arranged with three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a laundry room, while the attic floor is reserved for a versatile space with an outdoor terrace, making use of the geometry of the pitched roof.

The design has been conceived to ensure comfort and accessibility in everyday life, complying with all habitability regulations. In house number 134, for example, a lift has been incorporated to connect all floors, enhancing its adaptability to different needs.

Outside, in addition to parking and living areas, the project includes the construction of perimeter walls and fences, as well as the planting of vegetation. Photovoltaic panels have also been installed following the inclination of the roof, as part of the project’s commitment to energy sustainability.

This residential development combines urban functionality and modernity in Vilassar de Mar with the welcoming character of a house with a garden, designed to provide comfort and quality of life within an environment fully integrated into the urban fabric.
